Tears of an angel fall

Tears of an angel fall sweetly to the earth
A dark image smeared their worth
The pain seared so deeply by the hate it caused
The frantic search for reason goes on without pause
Some are found but all seems lost
Fist shake upwards there is no calculating cost
Life is precious and so dear
So parents hold your children near
